Hey All-
Do any of you guys out there scan your work into a PC? If so, what do you use? I have an el cheapo HP scanjet 2200c that I use to scan each page of my sessions, some 25 pages long, manually... ugh. :P
I have seen some models of page-fed scanners out there that will batch scan a whole pile of paperwork, and shove it all into a PDF file. I want one of those!!! Anyone out there scan stuff in, and if so, how do you do it?
Curious.

Yeah, depending on what I'm doing I do either the manual scan with an Epson flatbed, or this is what I do normally to save time:
Get a free j2 Fax number & download their free software. Fax the session to your number, once it arrives in your email as a multi-page tiff, you can then open it in their free software & export individual pages to jpg. Saves me a lot of time. I post a lot of stuff on the web, makes it easy.
I then keep an e-copy of all sessions & back-up to cdr every few months for archives.

IF you have a fax, then you can get yourself a free efax account and fax your sessions to your account. The efax software then bundles the pages nicely and makes it easy to see, print, and store the pages on the harddrive. However, you do have to download the free efax software, but it's a small program and only takes a few minutes on dialup. One possible downside is if you do lots and lots of sessions per month, then then you may exceed the traffic limits of a free account. I'm not sure exactly how much traffic it will allow. A few sessions per week would likely be OK though.

Hello MR. I scan sessions I do just about every other day. I have an officejet 600. Its very convenient because it is a fax scan printer. So if you need to send a fax or email your all set. It is an automatic scanner, so for those long sessions you just load it up and hit the button, come back after a few minutes and...... voila! :) Make sure you always select scan as text only this way the whole session will compact to a minute few hundred KB tif file, that way it attaches quickly and can be sent by email easily. Tif files are great for RV purposes cause you can look at each page individual and zoom wherever you want. Perfect for my sessions cause I have small sloppy handwriting :P. Guess what? I even found a great deal for you,

If your interested in a new scanner, check it out. The bet is only at $10 but shipping is $35, $45 isnt bad for this machine if you ask me. Hope this helps.
;)

Now that, is what a full-service post looks like!
Thanks Damien! Although I have a model picked out, sheet fed scanner also suitable for photos that archives to PDF format. Its a few hundred bucks though.
Hand scanning is such a pain, I may just try that fax service out. 50 pages of session this weekend is convincing me in that direction...

Glad you asked this question MR. ! Let us know how the fax idea worked out and which service you used. I am interested in this idea also.
