The subject of RV in general lends itself to internal self-cross-examination. Everyone tends to play the role of self-mid-wife as they try and give birth, from within themselves, to the nature of something remote, yet, a part of them it seems.
Socrates, for example, believed himself to be a type of mid-wife and his mother was a true mid-wife. He would cross-examine everyone to try and help educate (draw out from within) others as to the true nature of themselves and their immediate purpose. He believed at all times that we all have within us already, the ingredients that we need to be smart and virtuous, among other attributes. When people would allow him to do such a thing to them, it was therapeutic. The problem is, not many people allowed it.
The nice thing about you people in TKR and RV in general is that you are willing to allow cross-examination of your entire being, that is the most beautiful thing a human can ever exhibit, the humility of such behavior is what helps the world go around. Looking into the singularity of collective and unified existence plays such a key role in the facilitation of self development when people look inside of themselves for any reason. I have been looking inside of myself a lot lately….I mean, a lot….!
I have found stuff I do not like about me and I have found stuff that I do like about me….but, the bottom line is that I am looking inside and it is the best place to look. RV will be more of more of a real practice in my future as I find time. The Monroe institute is on my list of things to do in a year or so…and whatever else that is looming on the horizon of my life.
My introversion is working very well and the pursuit of RV and its related elements and aspects seems to be the catalyst for this increase. Overall, the experience with these threads, postings, books, and all related verbiage has been the therapy of all therapies for me. It may not be that way for you, but, that is OK, “to each his own” and that is part of the beauty of this stuff.

Learning the importance of getting in touch with ourselves is one thing. Maintainance is another.
Shakespeare said it ~ 'to thine own self be true'
Every single day we change. We meet people who bring new experiences with them. We hear some old adage that suddenly has new meaning for us. We are challenged with daily survival and the choices of how to survive ~~ will we do it with honesty today or will we cut a few corners 'just this time'?
The world around us changes by the minute ( & yet remains the same - 'nothing new under the sun' ). Daily we have to adapt to these changes. What do they mean to us personally? What do they mean to us collectively. How we react to all these things are personal choices.
Who are we today? Who are we pretending to be? Who do we ultimately want to be? How does the world see us? How do we see ourselves? It goes on and on and on.
Taking daily stock of oneself --- taking the time in this busy world to catch up with ourselves is essential.
By doing this, we allow ourselves to grow and can change/alter our beliefs accordingly.
I feel this is where many people really miss the boat.~~ they live with all these changes, personally and around them, yet don't change their beliefs and or intents.
EC - I'm glad you have found a source of information that you can relate to so well. This is what seekers do -- look for, hunt for, and gather all the pieces that make up the puzzle of being human here on earth and for who we are after our earth experience. I am happy for you!

I am happy for you too....it sounds like, on other threads, that you are seeking and finding also....
